Andy Katz’s latest “Power 37” rankings gave Gonzaga fans something to cheer about, placing the Bulldogs at No. 13 heading into the 2025-26 season. This is a far more favorable outlook than many of the early offseason polls, which have ranked Gonzaga anywhere from the low 20s to outside the top 25 altogether. Katz’s ranking feels justified, especially after the Zags’ recent roster news and offseason additions.

A major reason for Gonzaga’s optimistic placement is the confirmed return of two key frontcourt players: Graham Ike and Braden Huff. Ike was a force last season, averaging over 16 points and seven rebounds per game, while Huff emerged as a breakout contributor down the stretch. Their presence gives Gonzaga one of the most skilled frontcourt duos in the country and a solid foundation for Mark Few’s squad.

Another critical addition is former Arizona State guard Adam Miller. Known for his three-point shooting prowess, Miller fills a glaring need after Gonzaga lost much of its perimeter scoring from last season. His veteran experience and shooting ability should help balance the Zags’ offensive attack.

Adding to the optimism is the signing of Parker Jefferson, a highly regarded 6-foot-10 center who flipped his commitment from Minnesota to Gonzaga. Jefferson’s size and production at the high school level suggest he could provide minutes if needed, further bolstering Gonzaga’s frontcourt depth along with second-year Zag Ismaila Diagne.

In Katz’s rankings, Gonzaga sits just ahead of former WCC rival BYU, signaling that the Bulldogs remain a step ahead of their old conference foes even as the Cougars adjust to life in the Big 12. Notably, Katz has Kentucky at No. 6, setting up a marquee non-conference showdown when Gonzaga faces the Wildcats in Nashville this upcoming season.
While other outlets have been cautious in their projections, Katz’s placement of Gonzaga at No. 13 reflects confidence in the program’s stability, the development of returning players, and smart offseason additions. With the roster shaping up, the Bulldogs look poised for another strong season on the national stage.
