The focus of the Kansas City Chiefs’ offensive line overhaul has largely been on the left side, specifically at tackle. If you ask ESPN reporter Adam Teicher, the Chiefs might have a replacement looming at right tackle as well.
During a recent interview with 810 Sports, Teicher offered his insight into how things could take shape at the tackle spots for the Chiefs in the next year. Teicher believes the team has its future starters already in the building, and they’re not the names earning the biggest checks.
The Chiefs might be overhauling both tackle positions, if Adam Teicher is correct.
Teicher pointed to Jaylon Moore and Josh Simmons as the likely starting tackles in 2025. That’s notable, considering neither played a snap for the Chiefs last season. It also leaves Jawaan Taylor on the outside looking in.
“I could see a Chiefs starting lineup in 2026 with Josh Simmons as the starting left tackle and Jaylon Moore as the starting right tackle,” said Teicher. “I think that’s completely in the realm of the possible. And matter of fact, if you’re asking me how that’s going to go, I’d say yes, your 2026 starting offensive tackles are going to be Josh Simmons on the left side and Jaylon Moore on the right.”
Simmons was the Chiefs’ first-round investment in 2025, a premium pick used at No. 32 overall even though the former Ohio State lineman had torn his Achilles. Medical flags and rumored character concerns dropped him down draft boards, but the Chiefs were firm believers all through the draft process.
