After just squeaking into the 2025 NCAA Tournament, RJ Davis led the North Carolina Tar Heels past the First Four but was eliminated in the first round by the Ole Miss Rebels.

After five seasons in Chapel Hill, Davis saw his college career come to an end. The senior guard out of White Plains, NY, finished his UNC tenure averaging 15.6 points on 41.8% shooting, 3.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.

Now Davis will attempt to take his talents to the NBA. Despite his solid career for the Tar Heels, he is widely projected to go undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft, with concerns about his “size and decision-making” arising.

On May 2, the NBA revealed the 75 invitees for the 2025 NBA Draft Combine, but Davis was not one of them. The only UNC player invited was forward Drake Powell.

However, Davis was one of the 45 players invited to the 2025 NBA G League Elite Camp, which takes place from May 9-11. He will still get to showcase his skills in front of numerous NBA scouts, and if he performs well enough, he can receive an invite to the NBA combine.

Other notable G League Elite Camp invites include:

Lamont Butler (Kentucky)
Johnell Davis (Arkansas)
Chucky Hepburn (Louisville)
Chase Hunter (Clemson)
Caleb Love (Arizona)
Ryan Nembhard (Gonzaga)
Sean Pedulla (Ole Miss)
Will Richard (Florida)
Wade Taylor IV (Texas A&M).
“The NBA G League has invited 45 prospects to the 2025 NBA G League Elite Camp, taking place May 9 to May 11 at Wintrust Arena in Chicago,” NBA G League wrote on X. “A select number of players from the draft-eligible group will be invited to participate in the 2025 NBA Draft Combine later in the week.”

The 2025 NBA Draft will use the new format, holding the first round on Wednesday, June 25, and the second round the next day. If he goes undrafted, there is still a good chance Davis will get picked up by a team to compete in the Summer League.
