During halftime, tensions briefly flared as Curry had a heated exchange with Rockets head coach Ime Udoka. However, Curry lightened the mood postgame with a humorous explanation for the incident.
“He made a reservation at International Smoke and canceled it. I was upset with him,” Curry joked during the press conference, referencing his wife’s restaurant, via Anthony Slater.
For the Rockets, this was a statement win as they effectively locked in the second seed in the Western Conference with a 52-27 record.
Meanwhile, the Warriors have now slipped into a tight battle for playoff positioning. They’re part of a four-way tie for the fifth seed, all holding a 46-32 record, and are now dangerously close to falling into the play-in zone.
