As Hubert Davis and the North Carolina Tar Heels continue to build their roster for next season as well as the 2026 recruiting class, things are starting to heat up very early in the 2027 cycle.
Despite that cycle being two years away, UNC is showing interest in some prospects. And now, they are expected to pursue an in-state prospect that is currently ranked in the top 10 overall in the class.
Brandon Jenkins of 247Sports wrote on his top performers from Friday’s Adidas 3SSB Circuit session and he mentioned Raleigh native Jordan Paige who is expected to receive interest from UNC:
On the underclassmen side, Jordan Page is the highest ranked sophomore competing on the circuit. Ranked No. 7 overall nationally, the 6-foot-5 lefty swingman out of Raleigh (N.C.) Broughton can make plays others can’t.
He is a naturally gifted athlete with great shoulders and a well put together frame overall.
Page can get to spots with ease and places his head above the rim to finish plays. His jumper still needs some tuning but he is elusive, explosive, and has all of what is needed to be a devastating defender long term.
With the in-state programs thriving in the NIL era, he projects to be heavily pursued by the likes of Duke, North Carolina, and North Carolina State.
The 6-foot-4, 170-pound Page is ranked No. 7 nationally, the No. 1 shooting guard and No. 2 player in the state of North Carolina per the 247Sports recruiting rankings. Page will also draw interest from Duke and NC State which could make for an intriguing showdown to land the talented in-state product.
